Jetion Solar is pursuing cost reductions through thinner wafers and lower silver consumption, driving advancements in technology and processes. The research focuses on optimizing light management for thin-wafer cells, addressing challenges like reduced near-infrared absorption and current loss due to wafer thinning.


In addition, the R&D team is developing a low-cost metallization process that substitutes copper for traditional silver paste, creating innovative electrode structures via standard patterning techniques. This approach achieves a 50% reduction in silver paste consumption, significantly lowering costs.

Heterojunction technology, as a premier platform, can be combined with BC cells to form HBC cells, and stacked with perovskite materials like CaTiO3 to form advanced tandem cells. Jetion Solar has established an R&D platform dedicated to exploring these innovative cell structures.


Jetion Solar R&D center is one of the most advanced photovoltaic laboratories in the industry, which is specially set up to promote PV technology innovation and application advancements. The laboratory has acquired China CNAS laboratory accreditation, TüV SüD CTF laboratory qualification, and CSA WMTC laboratory qualification.
